Standard photo print sizes are often called codes of “nR” format, where the number “n” represents the length of the short edge on the print media in inches. In normal size, the long side is the short side length plus 2 inches (10 “or less) or 3 inches (11” or more). The alternative super series, denoted SNR has a 2: 3 (or near-term) aspect ratio so it is more suitable for standard 135mm film (35mm) in size 8 inches or more.
